The tradition still continues to these days. The Olympic Flame is lit by a curved mirror that reflects the heat of the sun onto the Olympic Flame. It is performed by a woman dressed in ancient style robes.

The Olympic spirit.
Olympism is a life philosophy which draws together sport, culture and education. The Olympic movement was originally promoted by Coubertin. Excellence, friendship and respect is a essential part of the Olympic movement.
The Olympic ideal refers to not only winning, but also about giving your personal best on
the field and in daily life. The values of excellence are participating, giving one’s best and striving to complete your goals.
Men and women are the centre of the Olympic movement. The Idea of team spirit is to build a new bond and friendship with both your teammates and opposition, encourage your opponent and to also despite the difference of culture and their religion.
The Olympic spirit is to respect one’s self, one’s body and one another. It is also to take part, have a positive attitude, play-fair and to follow rules. Every athlete should be inspired by the Olympic spirit.

Olympics
This term I think we a really going to find out more about the Olympics because this term our topic is Go for gold. I really hope that I could learn about my favourite sports, boxing and running. We might even be able to find out more about famous olympians like Peter Snell, Jesse Owens and also Usain Bolt.
I am really looking forward to learn about the olympics. I wonder what’s still going to come this term. Maybe we would get a chance to try out and experience more things about the Olympics.
